Delete Your Data

You can ask us to delete your Sizzy account and your data at any time. This page explains how, and what happens.

How to ask

There is no delete button in the app yet, so deletion is by email.

Email hello@sizzy.ai from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my data." Tell us:

• the name of your business
• your Instagram username or Facebook Page, if you connected one
• whether you want your whole account deleted or just certain things

If you signed in with Apple and hid your email address, or you can't send from your account email, say so. We will find another way to confirm it's you.

You don't need a Sizzy account to ask. If you only joined our waitlist, or you connected with Facebook and then stopped using Sizzy, the same email works.

What happens next

1. We reply to tell you we got your request.
2. We check that the request comes from you. We don't delete anything until we have.
3. We delete your data as soon as we can, and within 30 days.
4. We email you when it's done.

If you have a paid plan, cancel it first, or tell us to cancel it in your email. If you pay through the App Store, you must cancel in your Apple Account settings, because we can't do that for you.

Deletion can't be undone.

What we delete

• your account and sign-in details
• your business details and brand kit
• the photos and videos in your Gallery, including AI-edited versions
• your drafts, captions and posts as stored in Sizzy
• your chats with Sizzy and everything in What Sizzy knows
• your Routines and ideas
• your Instagram and Facebook connections, including access tokens and any data we received from Meta

What we keep, and why

• Database backups. Deleted data can stay in our backups for about 7 more days, until they are overwritten.
• Server logs. These hold technical records, not your photos. They are deleted after about 3 months.
• Records of actions in accounts. These are kept for about one year, for security.
• A free trial record. We keep a one-way hash of the email address, Facebook ID, Instagram ID and any phone number used for a free trial, so that the same person can't start another one. It can't be turned back into the original details.
• Billing and legal records. We keep what tax, accounting or other laws require, and proof of what you agreed to and of this request.

What we can't delete for you

• Posts on Instagram and Facebook. Deleting your Sizzy data doesn't remove anything that was already published. Delete those posts on Instagram or Facebook. Do this before you delete your Sizzy account, if you want them gone.
• Data Meta and Apple hold. Their own privacy policies apply to it.
• Copies at AI providers. We can't reach into the systems of Anthropic and OpenAI to delete items. Their published terms say they delete API data on their own schedule, generally within about 30 days, and may keep it longer if it was flagged or if the law requires it.

Instagram and Facebook

You can remove Sizzy's access at any time in your Facebook or Instagram settings, under Business Integrations or Apps and websites. That stops Sizzy from reading your accounts or posting to them. It doesn't delete the data we already have, so please email us as well.

Sign in with Apple

You can stop using Sign in with Apple for Sizzy in your Apple Account settings. That doesn't delete your Sizzy data, so please email us as well.

Deleting single items in the app

When you remove a photo or video from your Gallery, it disappears from your Gallery and Sizzy stops using it right away. The stored file isn't erased until you ask us to erase it or your account is deleted. Email us if you want it erased now.

When you tell Sizzy to forget something in What Sizzy knows, she stops using it right away. Email us if you want the record erased too.

If you're on a team

If you're a team member and not the owner, we can delete your login and personal details. The business's content stays with the business. Only the owner can ask us to delete the business's account.

If you're in someone's photo

Please ask the business first, because it controls its posts and its Gallery. If you can't reach them, email hello@sizzy.ai and tell us which business and which content, and we will help.

Waitlist

To stop our emails, use the unsubscribe link in any of them. We then keep your address only so that we don't email you again. To have your address deleted as well, email hello@sizzy.ai and ask.
